Similar to the villain Parasite of the Superman mythos, Black Hand has the ability to absorb powers through touch. This allows Despotellis to infect others with fear including Guy Gardner the powerful Mogo, a living planet and a member of the Green Lantern. Since it is alive, the virus was even able to become the deadliest member of the Yellow Lantern Corps. To no surprise, Despotellis was a manufactured virus intended as a bioweapon and the results were too effective. Despotellis is a sentient virus that can infect and kill a living being in just a few minutes. Sometimes the worst threats are the ones that can’t be seen. Some of his more modern iterations have him drawn to be terrifying and considering that even Aquaman struggles with him, that shows how much of a threat he can be. Much like Sinestro, he is able to convert other being to his Corps by manipulating their rage, making him a contender for the most powerful Green Lantern villain. His power of Rage allows him to overpower most Green Lanterns with ease but he also can vomit acidic blood that can damage and corrupt others. On his own, Atrocitus is a massive and haunting creature straight out of a nightmare but with a Red Lantern ring, he’s a monster. Plus, Sinestro has no line he won’t cross and that includes torturing and killing innocents, even children. In the Injustice universe, he was even able to make Superman into a Yellow Lantern. What makes him even scarier is that he has been able to convert powerful beings into the Corps. Sinestro was already a decorated member of the Green Lantern Corps and that alone makes him dangerous as a Yellow Lantern obsessed with putting the universe under tyrannical rule. Often considered the greatest rival of Hal Jordan, Sinestro betrayed the Guardians Of The Universe and created a new Corps dedicated to the power of Fear. In the right situation, he’s proven to be a deadly threat because if he wants something, he will do anything in his power to get it.
